It’s All About The

Since 2016, DOUGH by Licastri has offered the finest pizza and breads from over three generations (nearly 100 years). The late great Stephen Licastri mastered the art of dough-making spending his early years working for his family’s business. Licastri Bakery. After observing, learning and creating “Old World” dough recipes, he combined that knowledge with modern techniques to produce artisan pizza and breads to satisfy the most sophisticated palate and toughest critics. Only the finest ingredients, including an all-natural sourdough yeast starter, locally sourced wheat flour or Fleur de Sel Sea Salt – combine all of this with using a three day rise process (a labor of love). Stephen shared his love for food to our staff to ensure that the DOUGH legacy would live on forever. From focaccia pizza to sandwiches, all our food is created fresh and made-to-order to offer the freshest and most quality taste that will leave your taste buds craving more. Our indoor/outdoor seating also offers our guests the opportunity to enjoy great food and relax. We also encourage BYOB too! And as we always say,
#ItsAllAboutTheDOUGH!

THE DOUGH
TESTIMONIALS

The flavor combinations and ingredient quality are absolutely superb. Their topping combinations are impressive as they are creative.
As much as I want to continue about their amazing pizza, I must suggest their "egg rolls" and their Calzone. Both are delicious and compliment a pie effortlessly.
I wanted to keep this place to myself but I feel the world deserves to know that Staten Island has a hidden gem

Love the patio 🙂
Boston clam is the bomb!

features

The flagship pizzeria and restaurant lives currently in a tiny home — 1456 Richmond Rd., Dongan Hills, 718-668-1600; Doughbylicastri.com. Balsamo says the next venture will be a much larger space with about 20 seats. It will be the new neighbor of Delco Paharmacy at 3831 Richmond Ave., Eltingville. Partners in the project include Fred D’Ottavio and Ally Alfonso.

Portnoy, Barstool CEO and personality, joined ESPN and Staten Island boxing legend Theodore (Teddy) Atlas outside the Dongan Hills restaurant to talk pro boxing and, naturally, pizza, over a 25-minute segment which also includes discussion about the complexities — and corruption, says Atlas — of the boxing world, and a short story about Constantine (Cus) D’Amato and gymnast Nadia Comaneci’s 10-score 1980 Summer Olympics performance.

Or as I like to call it, “The Great White.”
Forget (temporarily) the hot sausage crumbles and dried bing cherries that stamp a signature on other Licastri-crafted pizzas, because this bacon-on-chowder clam concoction has become the hottest selling item at the tiny Dongan Hills parlor.
